Minneapolis interior designer, Brandi Hagen had a vision of the furniture pieces she wanted for this soaring space.  In order to create an intimate seating area, she invoked circular shapes on several pieces.  Hagen custom designed a curved sofa sectional and had the height of the back extended so that the scale felt more appropriate with the high ceilings.  The warm sand color of the walls was carried through into the textural fabric.  The concept for the custom cocktail table/ottoman grew out of the wish for additional seating and a functional cocktail table.  Pie shaped ottomans fit perfectly within the round, dark stained table repeating the warmth of the walnut cabinetry from the kitchen beyond.  Brandi utilized texture in a dramatic way by incorporating a heavy wool loop with turquoise colored shag in the custom round rug.  Colorful geometric fabrics were added as pillows on the sectional to tie the space together.

The living room combines urban-contemporary home design and eclectic art.It is anchored by an antique hand woven area rug.The white marble fireplace and curved hearth invite warmth of natural stone into the room while the wall of windows is softened with dramatic silk side panels.Blending rich leathers, textured fabrics and light-catching silks achieves a highly personal and inviting conversational space.

Opposite the red birch wall in this Minnesota interior designed home is a stacked slate fireplace.  The natural materials add warmth to the space, despite the room’s high, vaulted ceilings.  Floating benches flanking the hearth, accentuates the horizontal line.

A single father with kids off to college, this suburban townhome owner had an affinity for urban home design. Rather than pack up and move to the city, Minneapolis Interior Designer Brandi Hagen convinced him he didn’t have to move to achieve the “urban” atmosphere of his dreams.

The focal point in this Minnetonka Living Room is the fireplace!  Aqua colored glass adds a touch of drama to the stone and wood fireplace surround that is framed by arched top windows sheathed in soft sheer fabric panels.

A palette consisting of rich chocolate, lively turquoise, luxurious metallic accents and a sumptuous wool and silk area rug provide the drama in this Minnetonka Living Room.

This Family Room in Edina is not your grandmother's traditional space.  Timeless furniture pieces are brought into the 21st Century by mixing updated textures and patterns creating a cozy, comfortable room.

A creative use of materials transforms this downtown loft which was once a vanilla shell.  The color was inspired by the color of the mosaic tile in the Kitchen.  The texture of the wool and silk rug add the warmth that was needed to call this home.

Custom furniture was the best option for this expansive Family Room.   Brandi Hagen custom designed a large cocktail table and ottoman combination with an immense U shaped sectional.  Soft hues of cocoa, salmon and turquoise are repeated in the furnishings and mosaic tile fireplace surround.

Soothing and simple refinement with a touch of glamour is achieved through elegant arches that frame atop each curved front vanity in the master bath and are repeated in the upholstered art niches flanking the modern fireplace in the master bedroom. The bedroom blends the homeowners’ affinity for tradition and eye for contemporary aesthetics. Brandi Hagen refinished their crystal chandelier to tie in with the stainless fireplace front. Beautiful embroidered silks and luxurious velvets deliver a textural contrast to the stone fireplace surround creating visual interest.
