Minneapolis interior designer, Brandi Hagen had a vision of the furniture pieces she wanted for this soaring space.  In order to create an intimate seating area, she invoked circular shapes on several pieces.  Hagen custom designed a curved sofa sectional and had the height of the back extended so that the scale felt more appropriate with the high ceilings.  The warm sand color of the walls was carried through into the textural fabric.  The concept for the custom cocktail table/ottoman grew out of the wish for additional seating and a functional cocktail table.  Pie shaped ottomans fit perfectly within the round, dark stained table repeating the warmth of the walnut cabinetry from the kitchen beyond.  Brandi utilized texture in a dramatic way by incorporating a heavy wool loop with turquoise colored shag in the custom round rug.  Colorful geometric fabrics were added as pillows on the sectional to tie the space together.

A starburst mirror hung on the wall is a blast from the past.  The groovy accent overlooks a party-sized table created from a single slice of a walnut tree.  The tabletop’s “living edge” retains the tree’s original shape.  No table cloth required; the wood’s sleek finish gets better with age.

The ambient chandelier in this glamorous dining room achieves its dramatic beauty through a clustering of unique, hand-cast glass spheres.

Parents of four young boys sought colorful livability in their newly remodeled Minneapolis MN home. Originally built in the 1970s, a contemporary retro theme complemented the space, resulting in an interior design the homeowners really dig.

To balance the soaring height of this Lake Minnetonka master bedroom, Minneapolis Interior Designer Brandi Hagen focused on horizontal lines.  The custom headboard features deep horizontal channels inset into a high, dark stained frame.  The theme continues in the custom striped draperies and lamp shades.  Serene hues the color of water are found in the carpeting and bedding.

A striking custom Directoire cabinet was created to house books, a television and decorative items in this calming Wayzata Master Bedroom.

Custom furniture was the best option for this expansive Family Room.   Brandi Hagen custom designed a large cocktail table and ottoman combination with an immense U shaped sectional.  Soft hues of cocoa, salmon and turquoise are repeated in the furnishings and mosaic tile fireplace surround.
