When the family of five moved in to this Minneapolis home on Lake Minnetonka, a gourmet kitchen remodel was in order. Their Interior Designer Brandi Hagen transformed the all-white room with light maple floors into an elegant and accommodating space.

The original white upper cabinets remain light and airy in contrast to the elegant, black lower cabinets and appliances. The beautiful tile backsplash of interlocking ovals incorporates all colors to unify the interior designed space.

Weary of their condo’s original “90s-vanilla” kitchen, hospitable Minneapolis, MN homeowners consulted with Interior Designer Brandi Hagen. She understood their desires for enhanced function and aesthetics in the heart of their home.

This Kitchen was transformed from a bore to a bright, bold focal point of the home by combining inspiration from European design and the client's interest in contemporary design.

Beautiful creamy glazed custom cabinetry is capped by a glorious wood bar top and dark granite countertops in this traditional Minneapolis condo.

Infusing urban style into suburbia, Interior Designer, Brandi Hagen took a traditional material of quarter sawn white oak but gave it a decidedly modern feel by orienting the grain of the wood horizontally. Stainless steel envelops the center island for dramatic effect. Masculine ledge stone is repeated at the fireplace and wraps the ceiling high cooktop vent. The stainless appliances, hardware and sinks create an industrial contrast to the sensuality of the natural materials. A palette from earthy gray to cream unites the rooms and materials.

In search of a sleek, modern space for entertaining, this newly single father of two college-age boys who come and go considered moving to a downtown-Minneapolis loft. He discussed his options with Interior Designer Brandi Hagen, who suggested infusing the urban style he craved into his Eden Prairie townhome.

A blank end wall on the third floor hallway of this Minneapolis brownstone was the ideal location for a wet bar to accommodate rooftop entertaining.  Hand glazed metallic tile creates a beautiful luster in contrast to matte black millwork and custom cabinetry. 

The homeowners selected Minneapolis Interior Designer, Brandi Hagen to make their interior home design more hip.  Originally built in the 1970s, a contemporary retro theme complemented this newly remodeled home.  Beautiful, yet practical, the interior design holds up to heavy use among four active boys.  The ultra-suede sofa is durable enough to withstand routine scrubbings.  Commercial – grade carpets bound into area rugs accommodate high foot and Hot Wheels traffic.  Brandi retained neutral tones in the home’s fixtures, with grey walls, warm woods and mellow upholsteries.  Colorful accents, including rugs, artwork and pillows jazz up the space white providing far-out focal points.  A red birch wall provides separation between the more formal and casual spaces but creatively disguises storage that is found with the touch of a finger.

A single father with kids off to college, this suburban townhome owner had an affinity for urban home design. Rather than pack up and move to the city, Minneapolis Interior Designer Brandi Hagen convinced him he didn’t have to move to achieve the “urban” atmosphere of his dreams.

Pivoting doors conceal an unexpected wet bar complete with a beverage refrigerator in this Eden Prairie Family Room.

A mixture of smooth camel colored leather on the sectional, neutral ledgestone columns, wool striped rug and textured tweed on the dining chairs create balance and interest in this Eden Prairie Family Room.

Golden Palomino granite with an antique finish is the focal point in this richly hued space.  Dark stained rift cut oak cabinetry spans the back wall. Faux crocodile wallcovering provides unexpected texture and pattern at the backsplash and at the inset door detail.  The wine cellar is completed with distinctive horizontal bottle storage racks. 

Shelving was custom designed for laundry basket storage in this family friendly Laundry Room to keep the whites sorted from the reds.  Dark painted cabinetry paired with simple, clean white subway tile give the contrast this family desired.

Individual lockers were created for each member of this family.  Making the most use of all space, the custom cabinetry wrapped around an angled wall.  A mosaic border "picture-framed" around plain 12" x 12" tile created an elevated, custom tile detail.

Charm and attention to detail are found in this lower level Family Room space.  Reminiscent of a Mission style bungalow, creative storage abounds throughout.  A supple leather sofa, multi-colored floral tapestry chairs and striated gold wool carpet combine in this inviting Edina Home.

This entertaining environment in an Edina home allows for either shooting pool or playing cards while watching the game.

This Family Room in Edina is not your grandmother's traditional space.  Timeless furniture pieces are brought into the 21st Century by mixing updated textures and patterns creating a cozy, comfortable room.

In order to maximize every inch of this Minneapolis condo, custom cabinetry lined the curved wall and shelves were added above to display the homeowner's book collection.

An extensive book collection called for a space to prominently display and house it.  This cozy nook is painted  a rich red to set off the binding of the books apart from the bookshelves.  A wonderfully inviting loveseat nestles into the opening of the custom cabinetry.

Custom furniture was the best option for this expansive Family Room.   Brandi Hagen custom designed a large cocktail table and ottoman combination with an immense U shaped sectional.  Soft hues of cocoa, salmon and turquoise are repeated in the furnishings and mosaic tile fireplace surround.

The soft azure green Labradorite granite tops and Neo Quartzite tile floors are reminiscent of the cool waters of Lake Minnetonka, found just outside this Minnesota home. The eye is drawn to the match stick marble tile accent that runs the length of this tranquil Master Bath into the large walk-in shower.

In the master bath of this beautiful condo, dark, hardwood flooring contrasts to the custom, built-in cabinets. The double vanity mirror mask a built-in TV, which the couple can see while soaking in their traditional claw-foot tub. The adjacent room features a refrigerator, coffee maker and shower – all the homeowners need without ever having the leave the comfort of their master suite.

Four “L” shaped cabinet door pulls strategically placed create a stunning design element on this custom walnut vanity. The dramatic green onyx countertop, the exaggerated height of the backsplash and a rectangular vessel sink play on both the horizontal and vertical lines. Interior Designer Brandi Hagen wanted to retain the silhouette and had the custom mirror cut to the width of the backsplash and carried it up to the ceiling. A mosaic-like textured vinyl wallcovering picks up the russet veining in the onyx to tie the elements together in this jewel box Powder Room.

Busy parents of three sought a soft and elegant, spa-like getaway. Placid water views serve as the focal point for their elegant master suite design.
